The fifteen agent types

Every corner of the internet the fleet can sweep, and the knobs each type takes.

Every agent type reads the same ICP brief and feeds the same pipeline. What differs is where it hunts and what you can configure. The fleet planner picks types for you, but here's the full catalog.

Signal from hiring and money

  • Job postings: companies hiring right now, from Hacker News's Who-is-hiring thread, Y Combinator's directory, RemoteOK, and any public Greenhouse, Lever, or Ashby boards you watch.
  • Funding news: fresh raises from venture news wires. Point it at your own feeds or use the defaults.
  • SEC fresh raises: Form D filings straight from EDGAR. Every US raise on the public record, usually before the press hears about it, with named executives. Filter by state, industry, or offering amount.

Signal from people talking

  • Reddit: pain-point posts in the subreddits your buyers ask for help in (needs Reddit API credentials).
  • Ask HN: people describing the problem you solve, in their own words, optionally filtered by search terms.
  • Bluesky watcher: pain-point posts matched to search phrases you choose. No credentials needed.
  • Podcast guests: episode feeds you pick. Guests on tour are founders in outreach mode.

Signal from launches, code, and news

  • Launches: Show HN and Product Hunt. Brand-new companies with a founder attached.
  • GitHub signals: issues on repos you watch, plus companies building with a technology (topics, language, star floor).
  • News watcher: a news query swept across roughly 100k outlets. Expansions, exec hires, openings that never hit a startup wire.
  • Feed watcher: any RSS wire you point it at, judged like everything else.

Signal from spend

  • Search ads: the companies paying for Google ads on up to three phrases your buyers type ("crm for small business"). Budget in hand, and their positioning in their own ad copy. Runs weekly, on paid plans.

Signal from your competitors

  • Competitor watch: the people talking about the competitors you name under Settings → Competitors, right now. Complaints, pricing gripes, "alternative to X" threads, across Hacker News stories and comments, Bluesky and Reddit. Paste a competitor's URL and Claude fills in the name, a one-liner and the aliases people actually use; narrow the aliases if a common-word name pulls noise. Daily, on every plan.

The Claude scouts

  • Claude scout: no feed at all. Claude reads your brief and proposes companies that fit, optionally grounding each proposal with live web search. Often the right first agent for a niche with no public watering hole.
  • Market mapper: for "map the whole market" briefs, like multi-location operators or regional firms. It enumerates directories and member lists, then verifies each company before it lands. Deep runs spend real money, so it runs weekly under a hard per-run budget.

Custom

The sixteenth type, custom, has no fetcher. It's the attribution row for leads your own agents push in through the API or MCP, so outside leads carry the same provenance as a built-in agent's.
